Writing with Room 4

On Friday Room 4 came to our classroom to help us do some writing.  We were able to write really big stories.  Now our writing is on the wall so come and take a look at what we can do.

Marble Roll

At discovery time these boys were working on the marble roll.  They were sharing the equipment to create this beauty.   

Tama said "I made the marble roll really big!"

Moving Rooms

Well last week we moved into the Multi Purpose learning centre and we have certainly been enjoying the extra space.  We will most likely be moving into Room 7 late on Friday 27th June.

Masterchef

Last week we celebrated our WOW week with a focus on food.  In room 12 our letter of the week was H so we created hedgehogs made from cheese, pineapple and marshmallows which we put on toothpicks and then put into an orange. At morning tea time we ate what we had made.

At the end of the week in our Discovery Time we made gingerbread men, with room 10, and decorated them with yummy lollies.

We worked together and learnt about sharing in making our colourful creations.

Writing Time

Writing time in Room 12.

1. We are learning how to write our own stories.  

• We have to remember to leave a finger space between words
• We have to start our writing with a capital letter and finish with a full stop
• We have to write down all the sounds we can hear in tricky words.
